How to: Dry Herbs/Plants 🌿

Mugwort (Artemisia vulgaris) flowers drying

🪢HANGING WITH TWINE:

I like to simply dry my plants by tieing them with twine and hang them in a dry place out of direct sunlight.

🌡️DEHYDRATOR:

A dehydrator also makes things super handy and much quicker than the first method of drying. You may have to leave it on overnight depending on the moisture content of your plants. I'll probably get one in time as it's also handy for drying hardy herbs and fruits.

🔥 OVEN:

You can dry plants in oven but be adviced you will likely loose some of the plants potency and properties, especially if you leave for too long. Keep on lowest heat and check frequently to not get crispy.

I personally love hanging different plants around the house. Mugwort is one of my favourites as it symbolism and benefits intrigues me. It is connected to feminine and named after Artemis a Greek goddess of hunting, vegetation, animals and childbirth and care. It symbolises protection aswell as a big aid for woman's health especially for easing menstraual pains (through an oil infusion). Also the buds smell amazinggg !
